April Anticipation

04 Apr

As T.S. Eliot wrote, ‘April is the cruellest month’, and so I am challenging myself to read non- fiction this month.
Here is a selection of some of my shelves; but what shall I read?!

Well, you asked for cruel, and I think I see an English Dictionary there! Have you ever tried to read an English Dictionary? Stop at 10 new words a day, with a challenge to use at least one of them in the course of the day. Absolutely fascinating!

Haha! Great idea which I might possibly try. Watch this space…

I think I’ve read most of the Oxford English Dictionary – when I was at school one of the detention punishments was to copy out two pages of the dictionary …..

I think I must need new glasses as I am struggling to read most of the titles, but I would go for She Wolves by Helen Castor. They’ve been sidelined too often.
